British Air Transport Association (BATA) http://www.bata.uk.com BATA is the trade association for UK-registered airlines. its members cover a wide range of airline services and produce over 80% of UK airline output. Its role is to represent the industry to government, regulators and the media. It is active in bringing member airlines together and developing common positions on a wide range of industry issues including safety, security, environmental policy, infrastructure capacity and regulation. BATA plays a leading role in Sustainable Aviation, the world-leading joint sustainability strategy for UK aviation that was published in June 2005.
