Hello Friends and Neighbors,
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Houston County Chamber of Commerce online community. We want you to explore our website and experience what one of the smallest counties in the state of Tennessee has to offer. Erin was settled by Irish imigrants who found the green, rolling hills reminicent of their Irish homeland. Within 30 miles of a more metropolitan area and 65 miles of Nashville, TN, Houston County offers natures scenic beauty, access to lakes and rivers, low tax base, low crime rate, good schools, excellent health care for any age, retirement facilities and much more.

The annual Irish Day Celebration the 3rd Saturday in March attracts people from all parts of Tennessee and Kentucky. The celebration includes 3 weeks of pre-parade activities that include the Irish Golf Tournament, Bass Tournament, Gospel Singings, Beauty Pagents, carnival, various dinners and banquets. Erin hosts an estimated 10,000 people on parade day. Look closely and you will find leprechans of all ages and sizes.
Our community is known for its kind and gracious people who give new meaning to the term " Southern Hospitality".
You have an open invitation to come and visit or stay a while,
Lori Pendergrass
