Legislative Alert-TennCare Budget OT Cuts Proposed
Gov. Bredesen has proposed a 9% cut in TennCare spending for 2010-2011. The cuts would eliminate TennCare reimbursement for occupational therapy services for all adults 21 and older, excepting pregnancy. TOTA is working with our lobbyist, John Williams, to formulate an action plan. TOTA urges all OTs and OTAs and other who would be affected by this to contact your state legislators to urge them to take action against the 9% cut. We will post an action plan here on the website shortly, and also it will go out to all our members via our tnota membership email list. | Belmont University School of OT Announces Pediatric Research Study
The Belmont University School of Occupational Therapy invites pediatric OTs practicing in Middle Tennessee to participate in our thesis research study survey. The purpose of this study is to assess the perceived need for pediatric aquatic therapy in Middle Tennessee.
