A large crowd braved the wet weather at Belle Meade last Sunday to hear the fabulous Wootens at TJBS's last (Summer) Jazz on the Lawn Concert. They weren't disappointed -- Reggie and company had the audience smiling and dancing! Read on for photos and a concert review. CONCERT REVIEW: Larry Carlton Trio at Belcourt Theatre, August 18, 2010
The Larry Carlton Trio treated the near capacity audience at Nashville's Belcourt Theatre to a history of the electric guitar.  The lengthy set ranged from solo-to-blues-to-rock-to-contemporary jazz-to-fusion, including his signature licks from Steely Dan's "Hey 19." Multi-Media Artwork of Nashville music producer, songwriter, and artist, Green Daniel's work will be on display through October 15 at the Nashville Jazz Workshop, 1319 Adams Street. Green will be donating 10% of the gross sales from this show to the Jazz Workshop.     More ...

Saxophonist David Sanborn will appear without orchestra Friday, October 8, 8 pm, as part of the Nashville Symphony's Jazz Series. Because of repairs to the Symphony Hall, the concert will be presented at the Ryman. Sanborn will perform with a trio featuring organist Joey DeFrancesco.

SUNDAY'S CONCERT WENT ON, DESPITE THE CLOUDS AND RAIN! The TJBS Jazz on the Lawn concert took place Sunday, August 29 at Belle Meade Plantation, and featured Nashville's royal family of music, The Wootens. It was a great night of music -- watch for photos! It's not quite the "finale" either -- details shortly on an October concert w/ Dana Robbins.

Nashville Musicians Association Flood Relief Fund
