The first Providence Easter Egg Hunt was held on March 24th. 1500 eggs were stuffed and hidden by volunteers of the social committee for 2 egg hunts. The Easter Bunny stopped by to visit and take some pictures with the kids. Red Robin also stopped by to hand out some free kids meals. There was face painting, chalk on the walk, a coloring table, and a bouncy for the kids to enjoy.

On April 21st we had a Spring Community Garage Sale. Approximately 40 homes participated and we had a great turn out. There were ads put in 3 different papers and signs were made and placed strategically. A volunteer on the social committee arranged for Goodwill to be in the pool parking lot to accept donations after the sale.

The littlest supporters in Providence are getting in on all the fun. The Providence Summertime Playgroup meets one morning a week. The group has met at the Cabana several times to color, paint, and play. The group has also had one outing to the Nashville Zoo, which was fun for all.

Providence Pool Party which was held on June 2nd offered Witts BBQ, cold drinks, dessert, great music, prizes, an awesome pool, and talking with new neighbors and friends. It was a great time and a wonderful opportunity to meet the people that make the Providence Community.

Providence's first Ladies Night Out was a big success!  Twenty women gathered at Suzanne's house for an ornament swap.  There was a lot of food to eat, wonderful conversation and lots of laughter.  Many people in Providence are from out of state so it is a great way to meet new people.  If you are interested in finding out more about this wonderful women's group contact Suzanne Bingham at smbingham@comcast.net  We would love to have you!

Providence’s First Annual Fall Fest was a big success. The weather was beautiful! There was a jumpy with slide, face painting, a clown, balloon artist, games, food, drink, candy, games and drawings. For all those who guessed the number of candies in the jar the correct amount was 515. Harshil won the jar and contents; he guessed 507 candies. We have pictures in from the fall fest and they are great. Check back for information on how to view them.

Contests, Contests and more Contests! There was a jack-o-lantern contest for families. A pet costume contest and the winner won a $40.00 gift card to Pet Smart. But the biggest hit was the children’s costume contest. First place prizes were $30.00 gift cards from Target. Second place prizes were 2 movie passes to the Market Place theater. Third place prizes were $5.00 gift cards from Target. Congratulations to all the winners!

There were sign up tables for adult interest groups. We have men’s basketball pickup games and golf outings. For women we have Ladies Night Out, Bunko, Book Club and more. In case you didn’t get to sign up watch your email for opportunities to do so.
